The Cabinet of Ministers: Providing Housing for the Neediest Families as the Kingdom Spearheads the Green Era

Chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister may God protect him the Cabinet session was held yesterday in Jeddah.
At the beginning of the session, His Highness briefed the Cabinet on the content of a phone call he received from the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, the results of his reception of the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, and the substance of his meeting may God protect him with the United States Secretary of State.

Subsequently, the Council looked into the latest developments and events on the regional and international fronts, and the Kingdom's efforts in cooperation with its partners in the region and the world to find a solution to the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, reaffirming in this context a welcome to the United Nations Security Council's decision calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan.

On the domestic front, the council discussed performance indicators of a number of key sectors and their contributions to achieving national objectives aimed at enhancing progress and prosperity, and continuing the journey of growth and development on all levels.

The Cabinet emphasized the state's continuous attention and support for national efforts and initiatives aimed at providing housing for the neediest families in the Kingdom, including achieving the targets of the "Jood Al-Munatqat" campaign under the "Jood Housing" platform.

The Council considered the annual day of the Green Saudi initiative, which falls on Wednesday (the twenty-seventh) of March, as an affirmation of the Kingdom's interest in environmental issues locally and internationally, and support for its approach in leading the green era and climate action.

The Cabinet approved the "Rules for Handling Public Bodies’ Requests to Establish Companies or Participate in Their Establishment or to Establish any Entity Aimed at Investment or Profit-Seeking." It also approved the state's continued assumption of the visa fee for seasonal labor for the sacrifice and gifts project for the Hajj season of the year (1445H).
