Albanian President to Saudi Investors: I Will Be Your Personal Guard for Your Investments

His Excellency Bujar Nishani, the President of the Republic of Albania, has extended an invitation to Saudi investors to direct their investments to his country, taking advantage of the encouraging investment opportunities and laws.
He pledged to act as the personal guardian and guarantor of their investments in Albania.

This statement was made during his meeting today (Friday) in the capital, Tirana, with a delegation from the Council of Saudi Chambers led by Mr. Hassan Al-Huwaizi, the council's president. The meeting was also attended by a number of investors and representatives of various governmental and private entities.

The Albanian President highlighted to the Saudi delegation his country's ambitions to become a member of the European Union and its status in many international organizations. Despite being a small country, he emphasized its capacity for absorbing business activities and investments.

On his part, Mr. Hassan Al-Huwaizi, President of the Council of Saudi Chambers, indicated that Vision 2030 has thrust the Kingdom's economy into the global economic spotlight and has strengthened the Saudi private sector. He announced the establishment of a joint Saudi-Albanian business council.

Al-Huwaizi added that the Council of Saudi Chambers would charter a special plane and hold extensive meetings with officials in the Balkan states, including Albania and Kosovo. The aim is to increase the volume of trade exchanges and explore new investment opportunities in promising sectors, stressing the necessity of having laws that encourage and protect Saudi investments.

The gathering also examined ways to stimulate Saudi investments in Albania and align them with its economic directions and Vision 2030. The discussion covered the available prospects for Saudi investors, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, tourism, mining, construction, and building.
