“The Kingdom’s firm and established stance toward the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people will not change by allowing the Kingdom’s airspace for the passage of flights coming to the United Arab Emirates and departing from there to all countries,” Prince Farhan said in a tweet.

“The Kingdom appreciates all efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative,” the Saudi foreign minister added.

Earlier, an official source at the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) stated that the authority had issued approval on the request received from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in the United Arab Emirates, with regard to allowing flights from all countries to cross its skies to reach the United Arab Emirates.

“The GCAA’s request included its desire to allow the Kingdom’s airspace for the passage of flights coming to and departing from the United Arab Emirates to all countries,” the GACA said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
