The price tag for the most expensive home listed for sale in the United States reached a staggering $295 million this week, according to CNBC.
Named "Gordon Pointe," the almost 9-acre compound is located in Naples, on Florida's Gulf Coast.
The estate features a main house that spans nearly 11,500 square feet and includes 6 bedrooms. Additionally, there are two guest houses each measuring more than 5,000 square feet, bringing the total interior living space of the property to 22,800 square feet.
All three homes are situated on a peninsula that offers 1,650 feet of waterfront, a private yacht basin, and a T-shaped dock.
A real estate agent told CNBC, "The price valuation here's not so much about the size of the three large homes on the estate; it's about privacy, beachfront access, and a rare opportunity for significant development." He explained, "The property could accommodate more than 200,000 square feet of residential development," suggesting that the land has a great deal of untapped potential.
The agent added, "There could be eight waterfront homes on this estate."
