Bayern Munich Coach Announces Return of Kane and Coman, Neuer Still Out for Dortmund Clash

Bayern Munich Coach Announces Return of Kane and Coman, Neuer Still Out for Dortmund Clash

Bayern Munich's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, revealed on Friday the return of strikers Harry Kane and Kingsley Coman to the lineup ahead of their match against Borussia Dortmund.
However, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has yet to recover from his injury.

Harry Kane, the England captain, missed two friendly matches against Brazil and Belgium after sustaining an ankle injury in Bayern's 5-2 victory over Darmstadt. Meanwhile, Frenchman Coman has been sidelined for two months due to a tear in his left knee ligaments.

Neuer, the captain of Bayern, experienced discomfort in his left calf's adductor muscle during training with the German national team last week, ruling him out of the Dortmund game.

Bayern, currently second in the league standings, ten points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, will host fourth-placed Dortmund on Saturday. Following this, they are set to visit Heidenheim on April 6 before facing Arsenal away in the Champions League quarter-finals on April 9.

Tuchel informed journalists on Friday, "Harry trained fully with the team yesterday. He's in good shape and will play."

"King (Coman) is an immense asset for us and will return to the match lineup. Serge Gnabry has also returned. They are very important for us. Our options in the front line increase, and we hope this will elevate the competition for a starting position."

"Neuer will be absent. Unfortunately, Alex Pavlovich is not available. Raphael Guerreiro hasn't returned yet. And Sasha Boy was injured this week. These four players will miss the game."

Tuchel is hopeful for Neuer's return against Heidenheim.

"The issue isn't about taking risks. The pain is severe. We hope one week will be enough and he'll be able to defend our goal against Heidenheim," the German coach said.
