Deputy Governor of Medina Inaugurates World Civil Defense Day Events

Saud bin Khalid Joins Civil Defense Leaders in the City.
On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Prince of the Medina region, His Royal Highness Deputy Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal inaugurated the 2024 World Civil Defense Day events organized by the Civil Defense Directorate in the region under the theme "With Technology, We Strive to Protect You."

HRH Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal reviewed a presentation on the Civil Defense Directorate’s plan for World Civil Defense Day in the Medina region. He also watched a visual presentation that emulates the event's theme, which will be used to convey the message of World Civil Defense Day.

Additionally, His Highness attended several accompanying activities of the occasion, which included educational exhibitions, training workshops, and various lectures on safety and fire prevention. An exhibition of vehicles and technologies used in civil defense operations was also presented, enhancing the Directorate's message on the use of modern technologies in civil defense work and supporting safety, prevention, fire-fighting, and rescue operations, as well as raising community awareness on the concept of risk protection and preserving lives and properties.

On his part, the Director of Civil Defense in the Medina region, Major General Ali bin Abdullah Al-Qarni, stated that World Civil Defense Day plays a significant role in enhancing community awareness to maintain public safety. The directorate has started broadcasting several educational messages through electronic advertising screens on main roads, commercial complexes, and various media, in addition to organizing a parade of civil defense vehicles along with some volunteer teams. He expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Prince of the Medina region and his deputy for their ongoing support of the civil defense works and tasks in the region and their continuous monitoring of all entities that provide their service, educational, and guidance activities to residents and visitors.
