Establishments obligated to issue Labor Policies via Qiwa

Establishments obligated to issue Labor Policies via Qiwa

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Developments (MHRSD) stressed the importance of all establishments adhering to the policy of issuing Labor Policies through the Qiwa platform.
MHRSD stated that the Labor Policies service aims in organizing the working environments of the establishments and decrease disputes.

The service also contributes to reducing labor disputes that may arise between the worker and his establishment, as the service would help in making each of them aware of their rights as well as the obligations and duties required of them.

There are two types of the Labor Policies, the Standard labor policy, and the Customized labor policy.

The difference between them is that the Standard policy is according to the unified form of the Labor Policy, and does not need approvals.

This policy can also be issued and approved immediately through the Qiwa platform, provided that the number of workers in the establishment is less than 50 workers.

The Standard labor policy allows establishments to make simple amendments to the policy, such as the annual calendar (Hijri - Gregorian); leave system; business hours (regular — seasonal); workdays; weekly rest days; following up on the required steps until approved; exporting an electronic certificate to that.

The Customized labor policy is for establishments with 50 or more workers, and these establishments are allowed to include additional terms, conditions and provisions on the policy, such as the bonuses system, annual increases, violations, or any other provisions.

Establishments are required when adding terms and conditions to the Customized labor policy that they do not conflict with the provisions of the Labor Law, its executive regulations and the decisions issued in implementation thereof.

The Ministry noted that the Customized labor policy is reviewed by law firms or offices accredited to it, in order to ensure that it is free from any conflict with the provisions of the Labor Law and its Executive Regulations and the decisions issued in implementation thereof.

After which the policy will be ratified and submitted to the Ministry to approve it in accordance with the procedures followed.
