Germany’s WIKA opens new plant in Dammam

Germany’s WIKA opens new plant in Dammam

WIKA Group, a German company, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Dammam's industrial city, MODON, on February 29.
This advanced production plant is set to enhance the company's operations and exemplifies the strong business and cultural ties between Germany and Saudi Arabia.

German Ambassador Michael Kindsgrab, who attended the opening, highlighted the plant as a testament to the growing opportunities for German businesses in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the countries' close relationship. The occasion marked his first visit to the Eastern Province, where he enjoyed traditional cultural performances.

The event brought together German and Saudi partners, celebrating WIKA's local expansion. Fawaz Al-Sahan from Saudi Aramco commended WIKA for their contribution to the Kingdom's localization strategy, noting the facility as the largest instrumentation site in Saudi Arabia and a regional hub for WIKA.

Alexander Wiegand, WIKA's chairman and CEO, expressed appreciation for the support throughout the company's history, soon to be 78 years. He emphasized the new Dammam plant's role in job creation and its commitment to supplying high-quality, German-engineered solutions adapted for the local market.

Spanning 3,000 square meters, the factory will produce measurement instrumentation, including unique components like diaphragm seals and thermometer thermowells, with plans for an expanded product range to meet regional demands.

WIKA aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, demonstrating a long-term commitment to fostering economic development and diversification in Saudi Arabia. The company has operated in the Kingdom for over two decades, part of their global presence which boasts around 12,000 employees.
