Hajj 2022 requests exceed 390,000

Hajj 2022 requests exceed 390,000

The number of applicants wishing to perform Hajj ritual this year have exceeded more than 390,000 requests through the Eatamarna app, and the e-track for domestic pilgrims, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Hisham Saed said.
Saed stated during an interview with Al-Ekhbarya, that the request of registering for Hajj via the e-track and Eatamarna app will be closed on Saturday June 11, after it lasted for 9 days.

After June 11, the sorting and the e-draw process will begin to select nominators from pilgrims who meet with the requirements that have been previously announced by the ministry, he pointed out.

Saed clarified that the pilgrims who were successfully been nominated will receive a text message on their phones that they registered in their data in the e-track that they have been selected for the Hajj.

The nominators will be given 48 hours to complete the payment of the fees for the selected packages, after which the Hajj permits will be issued to them.

It is noteworthy that the ministry announced earlier that it would use the e-draw in the mechanism of nominating applicants from domestic pilgrims for Hajj 2022, in order to provide equal opportunities for applicants for Hajj from within the Kingdom.

The ministry said that the nominators who meet the requirements would be selected through an e-draw, stressing that the results will be without prioritizing, criteria or setting specific preferences, whether in gender or nationality.

It noted that notifying the nominators of their qualification for Hajj 2022 will begin on Sunday 13/11/1443 AH corresponding to 12/6/2022.
