Hong Kong reported five imported cases on Saturday. The patients are fully vaccinated and arrived in the city from the US, the Philippines, India and Qatar.
The first case involved a 29-year-old woman who came from the US. She underwent quarantine at Lan Kwai Fong Hotel Kau U Fong. She had received two doses of
BioNTech vaccine on June 24 and August 17 in the US.
The second case involved a 43-year-old woman arriving from the Philippines. She tested positive at the airport despite having received two doses of
BioNTech vaccine in Hong Kong on April 7 and 28.
The third case saw a 34-year-old woman caught the virus. She arrived in Hong Kong from Qatar and also tested positive at the airport. She had received two doses of Covishield
vaccine in India on July 17 and August 14.
The next one involved an 18-year-old man. He arrived in the city from Qatar and underwent quarantine at Ramada Hong Kong Grand View in North Point. He had received two doses of Sputnik V
vaccine on June 16 and July 31 in Kazakhstan.
The last case saw an 18-year-old woman infected. She arrived in the city from India and underwent quarantine at Regal Oriental Hotel in Kowloon City. She had received two doses of Covishield
vaccine on June 12 and July 17 there.
A total of 40 cases have been reported in the past 14 days and all of them are imported cases.

Covid tally now stands at 12,158.
