Islamic Minister stresses keenness on ensuring flawless path for propagation among women

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh reiterated the ministry’s keenness on correcting the defective paths in the propagation among women.
“We will neither allow nor tolerate anyone who tries to offend and spread misguided approaches among the circles of women’s propagation,” he said while addressing a meeting of female preachers and newly appointed women staff in the propagation and guidance sector at the ministry’s branch in the Makkah region, during his visit to the branch headquarters on Thursday.

The minister inaugurated the propagation plan of the branch in a ceremony attended by secretary general of the branches at the ministry as well as director general and other officials of the Makkah branch.

In his speech, Al-Sheikh stressed the importance of the role played by the female preacher in protecting the family, which is the nucleus of the society, from extremist ideology, as well as from groups that politicized Islam for their vested interests.

“The female preacher should have to shoulder a sublime message and lofty goal, which is to protect the society, contribute to its security and stability, and strengthen the feelings of national cohesion and belongingness among members of the society and rally around the rulers of the country,” he said.

Al-Sheikh welcomed the new female preachers who were appointed as part of the ministry’s plan to empower Saudi women, which is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He wished them every success in serving religion and the nation, and carrying out their duties towards the society. He noted that the ministry prioritized empowering Saudi women to participate in the propagation to the path of God and making aware of the community to realize the ministry’s mission and general objectives in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership.

Al-Sheikh revealed the ministry’s efforts to expand the appointment of female preachers and organize specialized courses for them in various fields that serve their mission in the best possible manner.
