This initiative, originating from a recent summit in Riyadh, involves ministers from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Palestine. Their objective is to urge an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.
Following their visit to China, the committee plans to tour several other capitals to promote their peace initiative. The mission aims to formulate a global strategy to stop the war in Gaza and support a serious political process towards lasting peace, aligning with international standards.
In discussions with the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, and the UK’s Shadow Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Prince Faisal emphasized the urgency of establishing humanitarian corridors in Gaza and the need for an immediate ceasefire.
He condemned the military escalation and violations by Israeli forces, calling for international condemnation and active involvement in ending the conflict and preventing the displacement of Palestinians.
