Ministry of Information Honors the Winners of the 2023 Media Excellence Award

With the attendance of His Excellency the Minister of Information and a number of the award's guests.
The Minister of Information, Professor Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dosari, honored the winners of the 2023 Media Excellence Award, from both organizations and individuals, in its fourth edition. The ceremony took place at the Four Seasons Hotel's ballroom in the Kingdom Tower this evening, with the presence of numerous journalists and media enthusiasts from within and outside the kingdom.

This year, the award saw nearly 20 entries reaching the final stage out of a total of 2,355 submissions competing across six media categories. More than 90 government entities participated, alongside over 65 submissions from the private and non-profit sectors.

The Saudi Press Agency "SPA" won the Photography Award for its work "A Picture Worth a Thousand Reports," while the Independent Arab newspaper received the Journalism Award for their work "Journalism in Infographics." The Saudi initiative won the National Song Award for their work "Sahiroon."

The National Guard Ministry achieved the Creative Video Award for their work titled "Ayyali Fadaha," Riyadh Radio seized the Audio Production Award for the program "Bik Nahtam," and the Television Production Award went to Al Saudiya channel for their program "Irth."

The award ceremony also acknowledged a number of individuals who have made significant contributions to media, society, and culture across various fields, including poet Khalaf bin Hethal Al-Otaibi, Ministry of Health spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Al-Abd Al-Aali, digital storyteller Hatem Al-Hasni, and the Ministry of Culture represented by the Music Commission for "Masterpieces of the Saudi Orchestra." Furthermore, a special recognition was given to the strategic partner of the award, the Human Capability Development Program.

In its fourth edition, the award introduced a new category titled "Government Media Production." The Interior Ministry clinched this award for media productions that emphasize the multifaceted aspects of security tasks.

Minister of Information Professor Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dosari congratulated this year's award winners, both organizations and individuals, who presented diverse media works. He extended his gratitude to all the creative minds across the nation who applied for the award, expressing his hope for their continued success in the years to come.
