Misk sends youth’s voice to world’s leaders, decision-makers

Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation (Misk) concluded its 5th participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF), which was held in Davos, Switzerland, from Jan. 16-20.
More than 2,700 leaders, decision-makers and thinkers from 68 countries, who participated in the annual international gathering, visited the foundation’s “Youth Council” pavilion over five days.

Misk provided a platform for dialogue for the world’s generations through its “Youth Council” which was organized as per the foundation’s endeavor to create empowerment opportunities for young people and engage them in efforts that seek solutions to global challenges.

The foundation designed four interactive areas at the pavilion: the dialogue platform, the “library”, which provided an opportunity to acquire knowledge about the best initiatives and solutions to global challenges.

The “Misk world”, was the interactive exhibition which displayed the major local and international achievements of the foundation and the journey of the development of its system over a decade .

It also highlighted the “generation of change” initiative which provided an interactive experience to explain the concept that was launched during the large and extraordinary 6th edition of the Misk Global Forum and coincided with the 10th anniversary of the foundation’s establishment.

Intended primarily to serve as a platform for dialogue and expertise exchange, Misk has brought together more than 38 speakers from Saudi Arabia and the world in 16 brainstorming sessions and meetings to discuss a variety of topics.

It also saw the participation of Prince Sultan Bin Khalid Al Saud, CEO of Saudi Industrial Development Fund, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef.

Also taking part were CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City Fahd Al Rasheed, NEOM CEO Eng. Nadhmi Al-Nasr, ACWA Power CEO Paddy Padmanathan in addition to several youth officials and executives of international companies.

Misk’s “Youth Council” pavilion at WEF was also visited by Princess Reema Bint Bandar, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America, Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawah, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim, STC CEO Olayan Alwetaid, as well as several ministers and executives from the Gulf region and the world.

During its participation in Davos, Misk conveyed a cultural heritage, registered in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, to the youth and leaders of the world, as the Youth Council pavilion was designed in the Al- Sadu pattern.

It also contributed to conveying the voice of the global youth community to decision-makers, world leaders and various global expertise to reflect the principle it adopts that its institutional presence will support the promotion of efforts towards a society based on knowledge.
