Morocco Unveils First Moroccan Car Brand, Hydrogen Vehicle

NamX is a hydrogen-powered SUV that was unveiled in 2022. It is the first car to be developed by NamX, a Moroccan startup company. The NamX HUV is designed by Pininfarina, an Italian design house.

The projects, developed by Moroccan entrepreneurs, are a significant milestone for the country and will strengthen the “Made In Morocco” label. 

The NamX HUV has a range of up to 800 kilometers on a single tank of hydrogen. It can be refueled in just 5 minutes. The NamX HUV is also equipped with a number of advanced features, including a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The NamX HUV is expected to go on sale in Europe in 2025. The starting price is expected to be around €65,000.
