Najm for Insurance Services first insurance entity to receive Uptime Institute Tier III Constructed Facility certification across GCC

Achievement confirms company’s continued investment, commitment to its strategy for automating motor insurance services
Riyadh, March 24, 2021 - Najm for Insurance Services has been awarded the Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF) by Uptime Institute, the leading global source for data centers tier certification. Najm is currently the only company in the insurance field to have such accreditation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.

The certification was awarded to Najm Main Data Center Riyadh, following a rigorous inspection of the facilities and operations by Uptime Institute experts from the United States and the United Kingdom upon its completion in November 2020. Najm had already earned the Uptime Institute Tier III Certification of Design Documents, a prerequisite for the construction certificate, which ensures the facility is compliant with the high standards of service availability and continuity.

Commenting on this accolade, Najm CEO Dr. Mohammad AlSuliman stated that this certification reflects Najm’s continued investment in infrastructure upgrades and its commitment to advance digital readiness, supporting its role as the backbone of the motor insurance sector, in line with the general direction of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) and the digital transformation goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

On his part, Senior Vice President for Information Technology, Mr. Abdullah Al Khalaf said: “Our new certified Data Center will add value to our operations and enhance Najm’s technical resilience, thus increasing the availability of our services to insurance companies and individual users, and enabling us to expand our portfolio with more digital services.”

In line with the certification, Najm, the award-winning enterprise for developing the Saudi motor insurance ecosystem, announced that it is applying the latest technologies to enhance and fully automate its services portfolio, and underpin a new era of digital Solutions, taking a fresh approach in visualizing its future operations.
