According to the epidemiological report, of the total number of patients, 3,019 are in home isolation, including 747 in hotels, while 343 are hospitalized, 272 of them in the ward and 71 in intensive care.

To date there are 6,085 clinically recovered patients.

51,105 tests have been carried out to diagnose COVID-19, of which 39,589 were negative.

The breakdown of the number of cases by province is as follows: Panamá (6,181), Panamá Oeste (1,832), Colón (392), Veraguas (384), Chiriquí (243), Guna Yala (221), Darién (200), Coclé (82), Bocas del Toro (77), Comarca Ngäbe Buglé (76), Herrera (21) and Los Santos (17).

Rosario Turner, Minister of Health, said that a new measurement of epidemiological parameters is already being prepared with the aim of establishing the opening date of companies that are in block 2.

Turner also announced that he issued instructions to initiate the tender process for rapid tests that allow the detection of COVID-19 cases.

He added that in the coming days, Minsa staff will be visiting various companies, to supervise the level of adjustments established in the protocols for entering the new normal.
