Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the secretary-general of the Arab League, will attend the 10th session of the ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in Beijing on Thursday.

The event will feature key figures including China’s President Xi Jinping and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as well as monarchs and political leaders from several Arab countries.

Aboul Gheit’s spokesperson, Gamal Roshdy, announced that the visit will include meetings with senior Chinese officials such as Foreign Minister Wang and Vice President Han Zheng.

The forum provides a platform for discussions on regional and international issues, particularly focusing on the Palestinian cause and efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the forum, and the Arab League has produced a commemorative book to highlight its key milestones.

Established in September 2004, the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum is a framework for dialogue and cooperation between Arab states and China, initiated following a visit by then Chinese President Hu Yintao.
