Egypt Mourns the Deaths of Iran’s President and Foreign Minister

Egypt is mourning the deaths of Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who died in a tragic helicopter crash on Sunday. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry have extended their condolences to Iran, expressing solidarity with the Iranian people. The crash occurred in northwestern Iran, resulting in the loss of several officials.

The Egyptian presidency released a statement expressing deep grief and solidarity with the Iranian people.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended his condolences, hoping for solace for the victims' families.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry also conveyed condolences, as confirmed by ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid.

The accident occurred in the mountainous terrain of northwestern Iran, claiming the lives of Raisi, Amir-Abdollahian, and their entourage.
