Saudi Dodgeball national team prepares to participate in World Cup for first time

The Saudi Dodgeball National Team will participate in the Dodgeball World Cup to be held Cairo, Egypt, from Dec. 14 to 17, as the mission will travel to Egypt next Tuesday.
The delegation of the Saudi national team is headed by the President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation Prince Saud Bin Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed, and the member of the Board of Directors of the Federation, Mohammed Al Misehal.

The panel includes Executive Director of the Federation, Abdulaziz Saad Al-Hazani, and Senior Specialist for Business Development at the Federation Laila Awad Al-Hamedi.

This is in addition to the technical and administrative staffs and players, which are coach Hani Mohammed and his assistant Ibrahim Al-Muqbel.

The team has 6 players, Mohammed Al-Ghanam, Raed Al-Thanayan, Sultan Fakhouri, Khaled Al-Jandal, Ahmed Al-Muhaishi and Abdullah Al-Haqbani.

The Saudi Dodgeball Federation President Prince Saud thanked the Saudi leadership for the support provided to the sports sector, which resulted in a significant and remarkable development.

Prince Saud praised the great effort and interest from the Ministry of Sports, which is led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, minister of sports and president of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, in order to harness all capabilities.

He added the ministry provides what is necessary to contribute to the development of all federations, including our federation and its first global participation.

He expressed his hope that the players would present an honorable image of Saudi sport in the Dodgeball World Cup, despite the fact that the game is in its infancy in the Kingdom, and in this championship, it aims to play more matches to gain experience.

It is noteworthy that dodgeball is a sport in which a group of players participate by throwing the ball at the opposing team and trying to avoid touching the ball thrown at them, as the goal of the game is to eliminate all players from the opposing team to win.
