Saudi foreign minister describes talkswith Pakistani leaders as ‘very fruitful’

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan described his talks with the Pakistani leaders as “very fruitful.” He said that the two countries have a common desire to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields.
The minister made the remarks during a joint press conference with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the headquarters of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry here on Tuesday.At the outset of the press conference, Prince Faisal expressed his happiness over the warm reception he received during his second visit to Pakistan.

The foreign minister referred to the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Kingdom last May, and Khan’s meeting with Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, and their agreement to establish the Saudi-Pakistani Supreme Coordination Council saying that the council aims to advance bilateral relations to broader horizons of cooperation and prosperity on an institutional basis that covers all fields.

With regard to climate change, the minister affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment and aspiration to continue working with Pakistan, which seeks to achieve the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan in achieving the goals of preserving the environment, and explore opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in this regard, within the framework of the Green Saudi and Green Middle East initiatives launched by the Kingdom.

Earlier, Qureshi welcomed Prince Faisal to Pakistan. In a tweet, he said that he is delighted to welcome Prince Faisal Bin Farhan to Pakistan following Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Saudi the Kingdom during which the Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and Prime Minister had detailed discussions on a diverse range of matters, ushering in a new phase of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
