These conversations focused on expanding tech operations within Saudi Arabia, particularly in artificial intelligence, innovation, and the digital economy.
These meetings occurred at the World Economic Forum in Davos, highlighting Saudi Arabia's goal of becoming a leading hub for technological innovation. Discussions covered various subjects, including investment in AI, cloud computing, fostering national talent, and deep tech research.
Specifically, Minister Al-Swaha spoke with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella about investments and entrepreneurship, and with IBM CEO Arvind Krishna about AI and digital capability advancements. The possibility of Amazon aiding the regional digital economy was also a topic, alongside innovative AI applications.
In parallel, Deputy Minister Al-Ohali discussed cloud computing, e-commerce solutions, and digital entrepreneurship with CEOs from
Alibaba and NAX Group, aiming to boost innovation and investment.
These meetings support Saudi Arabia's vision for a digital future, with a tech market worth over $43 billion. Additionally, Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan had talks with banking leaders and government officials about investment opportunities and bilateral cooperation, focusing on enhancing relationships with nations like South Africa and Indonesia.
