SR400 in guarantee for each domestic pilgrim will return to service provider

SR400 in guarantee for each domestic pilgrim will return to service provider

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed that SR400 would be reserved for each domestic pilgrim as a guarantee.
The ministry said this amount will be returned to the account of the designated Hajj service providing company or establishment in the event that there were no violations or complaints received from the pilgrims with regard to the services provided to them during this year’s Hajj, which would begin on July 7.

The ministry stated this in the guide to the regulatory procedures for companies and establishments serving domestic pilgrims.

The revenues of Hajj service companies and establishments will be distributed through the electronic track, after deducting the amounts owed to the competent authorities.

The ministry clarified that the process of transfer of money for the companies and establishments will be as follows: An amount of SR400 will be kept reserved as a service guarantee for each pilgrim.

This money will be returned to the accounts of the Hajj service establishment after the Hajj season.

About 75 percent of the money, after a deduction of SR400, will be transferred to the account of companies and establishments within a maximum period not beyond Muharram 15 in the absence of violations or complaints by the pilgrims.

The ministry pointed out that 25 percent of the amount (after deducting SR400) will be transferred to the account of independent companies and establishments when the electronic track is closed on the 7th of Dhul Hijjah.

For companies and institutions that share the same location, 10 percent of the amount (after deducting SR400) will be transferred to their account upon closing the electronic path provided that the firm does not have any obligation to the electronic path.

Fifteen percent of the money, after deducting SR400, will be kept on the electronic path from the accounts of companies and establishments until the settlement of their accounts with in a maximum period until the end of Dhul-Hijjah.

In the event that the accounts are not settled and closed, the issue will be referred to the Arbitration Committee of the Coordinating Council for a decision with a maximum period not beyond Muharram 15 according to the terms of the service sharing contracts signed between them.
