In the business world, Walmart, the largest private employer in the United States, is phasing out its diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, joining other companies like Ford and Harley-Davidson in responding to political pressure and the recent conservative backlash against "political correctness." This move reflects broader societal shifts, including a rightward political trend that aligns with significant developments such as the Supreme Court's 2023 decision to end affirmative action.

Meanwhile, in a major crackdown on international drug trafficking, Operation Orion has successfully dismantled cartel alliances by seizing over 1,400 tons of drugs and shutting down a new Pacific cocaine route from South America to Australia.
