The World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit providing meals in Gaza, has ceased operations in Rafah due to ongoing attacks.

Founded by chef Jose Andres, the US-based charity stated that Israeli operations have led countless families to flee, forcing them to pause work at their main kitchen and relocate community kitchens northwards.

This halt follows their recent resumption after the killing of seven staff members by an Israeli drone in April.

The deaths provoked global outrage, and an Israeli military inquiry cited an 'operational misjudgment.' Recent intensified fighting in Rafah since May 7, with an Israeli ground assault and a deadly strike on May 29, has complicated aid delivery.

The World Health Organization echoed these challenges, noting difficulties in transporting aid.
