Yemeni govt holds Houthi militia responsible for obstructing Stockholm Agreement

The Yemeni government said it holds the Iranian-backed Houthi militia responsible for obstructing the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement on the exchange of prisoners and abductees since it was signed three years ago.
Denouncing the Houthi militia’s actions, Yemen’s Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani said on Saturday the militia is continuing to obstruct the implementation of the agreement without any regard for humanitarian principles, and the deterioration of the health condition of hundreds of abductees due to the miserable conditions of their detention in its illegal jails, and the suffering of their families.

He held the Houthi militia responsible for obstructing the implementation of the agreement and for the continued suffering of thousands of people covered in the agreement on the "all for all" basis, including thousands of prisoners of its members who fell into the grip of the national army on various fighting fronts.

Al-Eryani also held the Houthi militia fully responsible for the safety of hundreds of kidnapped politicians, media professionals, journalists, and activists whom they took from their homes and workplaces in Sanaa, and the areas under its control to exchange them for Houthi prisoners of war, according to a statement broadcast by the official Yemeni news agency.

The Yemeni minister called on the international community and the United Nations to carry out their legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibilities and to pressure on the Houthi terrorist militia to immediately and unconditionally abide by the Stockholm Agreement regarding the exchange of all prisoners and abductees on the basis of "all for all" and to put an end to their suffering, and to reunite them with their families.
