President Donald Trump on Tuesday downplayed Iran's military capabilities and suggested that Tehran 'should wave the white flag of surrender.' During a press briefing in the Oval Office, Trump stated that while Iran continues to publicly display a show of strength, its military has effectively been reduced to firing 'peashooters'.

He further claimed that Iran privately seeks to negotiate a deal but is too proud to do so.

Trump praised the US-imposed blockade on Iranian ports, stating that it is like 'a piece of steel' and has deterred any potential challenges.

When asked about what specific actions Iran would need to take to violate the ceasefire, Trump stated that he would personally inform the public when the time comes.

He also called for Iran to save the white flag of surrender, suggesting that if this were a fight, they should stop it.
