LIV Golf schedules New York-area event at Trump’s New Jersey resort as part of expanded 2026 global calendar
LIV Golf, the professional golf circuit financed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has confirmed that it will return to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey as part of its 2026 season schedule.
The announcement formalises the sport’s third visit to the New York market, with the LIV Golf New York tournament set to take place from August sixth to ninth at the course owned by former U.S. President
Donald Trump.
The Bedminster venue was previously used by LIV Golf during its inaugural 2022 season and again in 2023, drawing some of the sport’s leading players for competitive four-day fields.
The 2026 schedule, released by LIV Golf, includes a mix of international stops spanning Riyadh, Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Mexico City, Virginia, Louisiana, Andalucía and the United Kingdom, among others, reflecting the league’s ambition to broaden its global footprint.
The New Jersey event will feature major champions and some of the game’s most prominent stars, including Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Bubba Watson, Dustin
Johnson and Sergio Garcia, alongside rising international talent.
LIV Golf’s decision to return to Bedminster underlines the league’s continued strategy of staging marquee events at notable courses, despite ongoing challenges related to television audiences, sponsorship and competition with the established PGA Tour.
The league has made recent adjustments to its format for 2026, including expanding tournaments to 72 holes to align more closely with traditional professional golf standards and bolster its bid for official world ranking points.
While LIV Golf’s ties to Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund have sparked criticism in some quarters and efforts in New Jersey to limit future events funded by such sources, supporters emphasise the economic boost that high-profile tournaments bring to host communities and the growing global reach of the sport.
The New York-area event at Trump National Bedminster is expected to attract significant attention as part of a season designed to further establish LIV Golf’s presence on the international golf calendar.
