Saudi partner Dar Global plans a $1 billion Jeddah development tying the president’s family business to upcoming US-Saudi defence talks
The Trump Organization has reached a landmark agreement with Saudi real-estate developer Dar Global, reportedly securing a deal to develop a $1 billion mixed-use project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The project, named “Trump Plaza Jeddah”, marks the second major Trump-branded venture in the kingdom and follows earlier collaborations in luxury real-estate with Dar Global.
The development is set to feature premium residences, serviced apartments, Grade-A office space and exclusive townhouses, anchored by a landscaped central park-style corridor inspired by Manhattan’s own Central Park.
The deal is engineered by Dar Global, a London-listed subsidiary of Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan, which stated the scheme “will set a new benchmark for prestige and innovation in the Kingdom.”
The timing of this deal is significant.
It comes ahead of a White House meeting next week between US President
Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where a range of economic and defence agreements are expected, including a possible review of a US sale of F-35 fighter jets to Riyadh.
The tie-up highlights how the Trump family business and the US government’s diplomatic agenda appear to intersect, given the close involvement of the Trump Organization in Gulf-state real-estate ventures.
Dar Global’s financial disclosures indicate that Trump-branded projects accounted for a substantial portion of their international portfolio last year.
The Jeddah project builds on the launch of Trump Tower Jeddah in December 2024 and earlier Trump-branded developments in Riyadh, Dubai, Oman and Qatar.
The Trump Organization describes its involvement as a strategic expansion of its luxury-branding model, with Eric Trump, executive vice president of the company, stating: “We are honoured to expand our footprint in Saudi Arabia with the Trump Plaza Jeddah.”
Critics have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest between the president’s private business interests and US foreign-policy decisions—though administration officials say the Trump Organization is managed by the president’s children and day-to-day operations remain independent.
For now, public filings show the deal was announced on 29 September 2025, with Dar Global confirming it in its corporate release and the Trump Organization acknowledging its partnership.
As the diplomatic visit approaches, observers will watch how the real-estate tie-in and broader US-Saudi negotiating agenda converge, and whether additional deals surface linking investment, branding and strategic defence cooperation in the Gulf region.
