RAMALLAH: Fadwa Barghouti, the spouse of jailed Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti, has made an appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump for assistance in obtaining her husband's release from Israeli custody.

This request was conveyed by Fadwa's son, Arab Barghouti, to AFP.Fadwa Barghouti issued a statement emphasizing the potential benefits of such action: "Mr. President, a genuine partner awaits you — one who can help fulfill the dream we share of just and lasting peace in the region.
