SANAA: On Thursday, the Israeli military launched an airstrike on targets within the Yemeni capital of Sanaa.

This marked the second such attack in less than a week, according to an Israeli military statement.

Residents reported that the attacks hit areas near the presidential complex and a building in southern Sanaa.

Yemeni military sources claim that the presidential complex housed an operations room and a missile storage facility used by the Iran-aligned Houthi militants.

However, the Israeli military stated that only one attack took place.

According to Israeli security sources, the strike targeted locations where numerous senior Houthi officials were present to watch a televised speech by leader Abdul Malik Al-Houthi.

A source from the Houthi Ministry of Defense denied reports of high-ranking officials being targeted in Sanaa, as reported by the Houthi-run news agency.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a statement warning that those who raise hands against Israel would have their hands cut off.

This recent attack comes in response to previous Houthi actions.

On Sunday, Israel struck Sanaa after Houthi missiles were fired toward Israel.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and the Houthi militants in Yemen dates back over a year, with both sides engaging in retaliatory strikes and attacks on various targets.

Nasruldeen Amer, a senior Houthi official, stated that the Houthis will continue to show solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The Iran-aligned group has targeted vessels in the Red Sea as part of their solidarity efforts.

Additionally, they have fired missiles toward Israel, most of which have been intercepted by Israeli defenses.

In response, Israel has conducted strikes on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, including the vital port city of Hodeidah.
