Erdogan Issues Stark Warning to Israel Amid Escalating Regional Tensions

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemns Israeli actions in Gaza, announces defense initiatives, and addresses rising conflict with Iran.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has delivered a strong message to Israel following a recent cabinet meeting in Ankara, accusing the nation of committing crimes against humanity and threatening regional stability.

Erdogan stated, “Israel, which destroyed Gaza and is now rampaging across the region, may realize its mistake in the future, but by then it will be too late.” He emphasized that Israel’s ongoing actions jeopardize its own future, asserting, “With every crime, Israel risks the very existence of its state and society.”

In response to the escalating conflict in the region, Erdogan announced a significant increase in Turkey’s defense capabilities.

He outlined plans to enhance domestic production of medium- and long-range missiles to strengthen Turkey’s deterrence measures against potential aggression.

“We have now reached a stage where our defense manufacturing can support a serious deterrent force,” he noted.

On the diplomatic front, Erdogan confirmed that he and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan are actively engaging in efforts to de-escalate tensions between Israel and Iran.

He reiterated Turkey’s commitment to addressing the Iranian nuclear issue through negotiation rather than military action.

Erdogan also expressed skepticism regarding the motivations behind Israel’s military operations, suggesting that these actions exceed legitimate security concerns, stating, “Day by day, it becomes clearer that Israel’s attacks, under the pretext of targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, have much broader and more malicious objectives.”

This situation is further compounded by reports from Iranian media indicating that Iran is preparing for a substantial missile strike against Israeli territory, attributed to Israeli airstrikes on various civilian sites in Tehran, including hospitals and government buildings.

Amid these tensions, Iranian military forces have issued Hebrew-language warnings advising Israeli residents of Tel Aviv to evacuate the city immediately for their safety.
