HK reports 32 Covid cases, six infections untraceable
The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today, it has recorded 32 additional confirmed coronavirus cases – four imported and 28 local – bringing the tally to 10,668 cases.
Among the 32 patients were 12 men and 20 women, aged between eight months to 83 years.
Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection's Communicable Disease Branch, said of the fresh local cases today, 22 were linked to previous local infections and six with untraceable sources.
Chuang said among the local cases today, the airport's Three-runway System construction site cluster has seen one more patient added.
“The buildings where the six patients with untraceable infections live will be included in the compulsory testing notice,” she added.
The six buildings were said to be Sau Shan House of Cheung Shan Estate in Tsuen Wan, Century Tower II in the mid-levels, Man Ying Building in Jordan, Hang On Building in Shan Shui Po, Ching Wo House of Tsz Ching Estate in Wong Tai Sin and Block 6 of Tsui Ning Garden in Tuen Mun.
The three tested preliminary positive in yesterday’s overnight lockdown in Wai Lee Building in Quarry Bay include a secondary six student from the Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School.
The student was said to have taken an exam with another student - who was also diagnosed earlier and lives in the same building - in a hall at school. The center had since put some 130 teachers and students who shared the hall with the two under quarantine, while other students and their family members will undergo mandatory testing.
