Israeli Strikes in Beirut Spur New Ceasefire Hopes Amid Regional Tensions

Israel strikes Hezbollah in Beirut amid escalation, while a ceasefire looms with U.S. mediation.
Over the weekend, the Israeli military launched strikes targeting a Hezbollah command center in Beirut, Lebanon, leading to 29 deaths and 67 injuries, as reported by the Lebanese health ministry. This escalation is a part of Israel's intensified efforts linked to the broader regional conflict following the recent Gaza war.

However, there is a glimmer of hope as Israel and Hezbollah approach a ceasefire agreement. The proposed deal, facilitated by U.S. negotiations, aims to ease tensions by withdrawing troops from southern Lebanon, while ensuring Israel can respond if terms are violated.
