Lebanese Influencer Dr Food Faces Arrest Warrant Amid Drug Smuggling Allegations

George Dib, known as Dr Food, is barred from entering Lebanon as authorities pursue charges related to alleged drug-infused candy products.
Lebanese influencer George Dib, widely known as Dr Food, is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Lebanese judge Ziad Al-Daghidi as allegations of drug smuggling linked to his candy products unfold.

The warrant stipulates that if Dib attempts to return to Lebanon, he will face immediate arrest.

The allegations stem from a significant incident in February 2024, when customs officials at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport seized several products branded under Dib's name.

Subsequent testing purportedly indicated the presence of illegal substances, leading to a criminal investigation focused on charges of manufacturing, trafficking, and smuggling drugs, notably to Turkey.

Despite these serious accusations, Dib has publicly denied any wrongdoing.

He has maintained his innocence both in court and in a series of statements made through his social media platforms.

Dib's personal life has also come under scrutiny following allegations of domestic abuse against his wife, Shrouq Sunshine, and claims regarding infidelity with a Dubai-based model named Katrexa Ayoub.

As of now, none of the allegations regarding Dib’s personal conduct have been officially disproven, leaving some questions about their veracity.

Katrexa Ayoub has publicly refuted allegations connecting her to the controversy, which has ignited significant public backlash towards both her and Dib.

The ongoing situation has drawn considerable media attention, not only because of the serious nature of the allegations but also due to the prominent social media presence of Dib, who has a substantial following in the region.
