Man from Saudi Arabia jumps on whale and goes for a ride in Red Sea

A video of a man riding on a whale in the Red Sea has gone viral on the internet. Yes, you read that right. The video is from the city of Yanbu in Saudi Arabia.
The shocking scene was shared in several parts by Twitter handle alalwaniabdulla. He shared the first clip with the caption, “A man of the sea in Yanbu swims with acrobat fish (sic).”

The 45-second video starts with the man on a boat spotting two whales coming towards them. As soon as he sees them, he gets into the position. When the first whale comes closer, he tries to get on its back but misses the opportunity. He, then quickly gets down and places himself on the back of the other whale and goes for a ride on it.


The remaining clips show that the man spent a lot of time on the back of the whale in the Red Sea.

The videos went viral as soon as they were shared. The tweet garnered more than 14.8k likes along with a lot of retweets and comments. Twitterati was concerned about the whale and the man. The same Twitter handle explained and wrote, "This whale shark is not toothed and therefore cannot cause harm to humans. It mainly depends on microscopic organisms in its diet that cannot be seen with the naked eye and plankton (sic).”



The man also gave more details. He wrote, "The acrobat whale - is an endangered species of shark Its average length is 13 meters while its weight is 21 tons. It is one of the most common types of fish spread in the Red Sea, especially near the Saudi coast. This shark does not pose any danger to humans, and no deaths or attacks on humans have been recorded (sic).”



 The whale that is in the clip, is a whale shark which is a carnivorous whale and does not posses any threat to humans. They are an endangered species.
