Six large-scale bombs were dropped on the Fordow nuclear site, as part of a coordinated U.S. strike on Iran.

U.S. President Donald Trump declared it "a historic moment for the United States, for Israel, and for the world."

In Tehran, Iranian authorities issued a warning that any American citizen or military personnel present in the Middle East would be considered a legitimate target in response to the attack.

President Trump responded firmly, stating, "Any response by Iran against the United States will be met with great force."

Following the strike, Trump stated that Iran’s primary nuclear enrichment facilities had been completely destroyed.

The president delivered an official statement approximately two hours after first announcing what he called a “very successful strike” on three nuclear sites in Iran.

"The objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities and the elimination of the threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism," said Trump.

He expressed gratitude to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and added, "It is either peace—or a great tragedy for Iran."
