Millicom TIGO Panama launches a new virtual training academy

In an era of constant changes and new social and economic realities, Millicom Tigo Panama, launches a new free virtual training space called “Business Webinars”, directed to all entrepreneurs and the general public, especially small and medium-sized companies in Panama.
“Millicom Tigo Panamá, has a history of more than thirteen years of training and providing tools to the SME segment, thanks to programs such as Mipymes Week and Tour Provinces. That is why, today we have transferred the experience and format to develop a new virtual academy, matching to the new realities of communication and training that all Panamanians require", said Gaspar Tarté, Vice President of Business Business B2B Millicom Tigo Panama.

“Since March, Millicom Tigo Panama, through various alliances, [we have] developed more than 30 free webinars, managing to impact more than 8,200 entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs from various areas of the country. Through this initiative, we were able to identify the main needs and challenges of all economic sectors after the passage of COVID-19, especially those that affect the SME segment, which allowed us to prepare valuable content for our virtual academy”, he added.

Through the specialized advice of recognized experts and in alliance with ADEN Business School, CrediCorp Bank, Interfuerza, Konibit and VUCA, the “Business Webinars” platform will allow entrepreneurs, managers and entrepreneurs at the national level to learn and apply useful tools to develop their companies, manage change, enhance their capabilities and digitally transform their businesses.

To be able to enroll in the virtual academy of "Business Webinars" people must submit a form with their data at https://www.cableondaempresarial.com. After this step, a confirmation email will be sent with a specific time and date to start, dpending on the the interests indicated in the form. The contents of the program are detailed below:

- May 18: SME Companies: The great challenge is to go through the crisis!
- May 22: Digital transformation
- June 2: Women's leadership in times of COVID-19
- June 3: Digital Innovation for SMEs, responding to the consumer and new post-coronavirus trends
- June 4: Rethink Future: Strategies to lead the new normal "Low touch economy"
- June 11: Resilient and exponential companies: Adapt and pivot towards new exponential business models
- June 17: Post COVID-19 legal issues
- June 24: Branding for Entrepreneurs

Millicom Tigo Panama will also develop virtual training to provide a boost to the community of entrepreneurs.

This initiative will allow more than 500 women, through expert advice, to learn and apply useful tools to develop their companies and enhance their personal capacities, all through technology and digital tools.

Millicom Tigo Panamá, through these initiatives, seeks to continue to train professionals from all sectors, especially SMEs, so that they can have a useful and practical way to ensure the continuity of their business.
