LONDON: A 16-year-old Palestinian, Ibrahim Majed Ali Nasr, died from injuries sustained on Tuesday evening after being shot by Israeli forces during a military operation in the northern occupied West Bank.

The incident occurred when Israeli troops entered the town of Qabatiya, located south of Jenin city, where they fired live ammunition, resulting in Nasr's chest injury, which proved fatal.

Another young man was also injured in the leg during the raid, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.Nasr was rushed to a hospital in Jenin, where medical staff declared him dead shortly after his arrival.

The Israeli military operation in Qabatiya on Tuesday evening involved a raid on a house with no detentions reported.This tragic event marks an escalation in hostilities within the region and raises the Palestinian death toll in the Jenin governorate to 43 since January 21, when the Israeli military campaign began.

Additionally, dozens of others have been injured or detained, as reported by the Palestine News Agency.
