Syria’s telecommunications ministry has recently entered into an agreement with Barcelona-based Medusa Submarine Cable System for the landing of the first international submarine cable to the country.
This significant development was reported by state-run Ikhbariya TV on Saturday.
The submarine cable system aims to establish a connection between 12 countries situated across North Africa and southern Europe.
Furthermore, it is set to serve as an essential corridor connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean and the Red Sea.
