According to an announcement by the Israeli military, the missile was targeted towards several areas in Israel and was subsequently intercepted.

The Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Saree, stated in a video message that the militant group targeted Israel's Ben Gurion Airport using a 'Palestine 2' hypersonic ballistic missile.
The Houthis have been launching repeated attacks against Israel since their ally Hamas initiated hostilities in October 2023, leading to the Gaza war.
The Houthis claim they are supporting the Palestinian cause and paused their operations during a two-month ceasefire in Gaza that concluded in March.
