Clashes Erupt in Deir Dibwan as Israeli Settlers Attack Village

Large-scale violence injures 35 residents amid heightened tensions in the West Bank.
Violence escalated on June 4, 2025, in the occupied Palestinian territories as Israeli settlers launched a significant attack on the West Bank village of Deir Dibwan, resulting in injuries to at least 35 individuals and extensive damage to property.

Local sources report that the assault involved dozens of settlers who entered the village, located east of Ramallah, where they set fire to homes, vehicles, and agricultural land.

Notably, the 'Abu Shahada Farm' at the town's western entrance was among the properties destroyed, with specific attacks targeting residences belonging to the Abu Kaid family.

Eyewitness accounts and statements from the Mayor of Deir Dibwan indicated that emergency teams from the Palestinian Red Crescent responded to the scene, treating several residents for various injuries.

Two individuals were transported to a hospital for further care, while five others received treatment at a local medical center.

Reports emerged of families being confined within their homes as settlers carried out arson attacks throughout the village.

The incident in Deir Dibwan forms part of a broader trend of settler-led violence in the West Bank, which has seen increasing tensions in recent months.

Concurrently, in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm, Israeli forces conducted a raid in the Kuttab neighborhood, allegedly assaulting residents and searching several buildings.

In Gaza, the situation remains critical, with Israeli troops reportedly opening fire near food distribution centers for the second consecutive time within three days.

Palestinian health authorities reported that 27 individuals were killed in the latest incident near an aid site, part of a complex humanitarian operation supported by the United States and Israel.

The ongoing violence has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of civilians dependent on humanitarian aid in the besieged enclave, drawing sharp criticism from various humanitarian organizations.
