Escalating Conflict: Iran Fires Missiles at Israel Amid Heightened Tensions

Iran launches hundreds of ballistic missiles in response to Israeli airstrikes, resulting in significant casualties and damage.
On Friday, Iranian state television reported the launch of hypersonic missiles towards Israel as part of Tehran's retaliation for an extensive Israeli attack.

The missile strikes reportedly included three waves, hitting an Israeli military structure.

Iranian news agency IRNA stated that hundreds of ballistic missiles had been targeted towards Israel, with a senior Iranian official asserting, "There will be no safe place in Israel, and our revenge will be painful."

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the missile strikes aimed at numerous sites within Israel, following what Iran characterized as a significant Israeli offensive.

An IRGC statement indicated, "The Guards carried out a firm and precise response against dozens of targets and military centers of the usurping Zionist regime in the occupied territories."

Israeli emergency services reported that 40 individuals were injured in the Iranian missile attacks, with two people listed in critical condition.

Media sources confirmed missile impacts in cities including Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, and Ramat Gan.

The Israeli army confirmed that it had detected missile launches from Iran towards its territory and instructed all residents to seek shelter in fortified rooms.

In an official statement, the army mentioned, "The entire country of Israel is under fire as Iran launches missiles."

Following the Israeli announcements, reporters in Jerusalem reported hearing sirens and loud explosions, while smoke was seen rising over Tel Aviv.

Emergency services in Israel responded to five incidents of missile impacts in Tel Aviv, handling major incidents resulting from the Iranian strikes, including rescuing individuals trapped in a high-rise building.

Israeli military spokesperson Avichai Adraee indicated that Iran had launched less than 100 missiles at Israel during the day.

He clarified that in two phases of launch, most of the missiles were intercepted or did not reach their intended targets, resulting in limited damage to buildings due to shrapnel from interception operations.

Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant stated that Iran had crossed "red lines" by targeting civilian areas in Israel.

He added, "Iran has crossed the red lines by daring to launch missiles at residential centers in Israel," pledging to continue defending Israeli citizens and ensuring that the Tehran regime pays a heavy price for its egregious actions.

In related developments, Iranian agency Tasnim reported that Tehran had shot down two Israeli warplanes and captured one pilot, a woman.

Additionally, Iranian television claimed that its air defenses had successfully intercepted two Israeli F-35 fighter jets for the first time.

However, an Israeli military spokesperson denied these claims.

Earlier on the same day, Israel carried out a series of unprecedented airstrikes on nuclear and military sites across Iran, targeting facilities in Natanz, Tehran, and other cities, resulting in the deaths of senior military leaders.

Iran vowed to retaliate, deeming the Israeli actions an "act of war."
