The Egyptian Public Prosecutor has decided to reopen the investigation into the death of El-Arish University veterinary student Naira Salah El-Zoghbi, following social media allegations of blackmail and bullying.
Lawyer Ahmed Salama disclosed that Naira's body will be exhumed from her village in Dakahlia for forensic analysis. Evidence suggesting possible criminal involvement includes reports of a cat dying after drinking from the same cup as Naira.
Naira's father is seeking answers about her unexpected passing which was initially labeled a suicide due to acute poisoning. He referenced threatening messages on Naira's phone from fellow students and rumors of her academic success leading to blackmail.
Her mother recounted Naira's last contact, expressing distress over severe symptoms, before the university notified them of her hospitalization and subsequent death.

Facebook has garnered significant support, with a fellow student mentioning an incident of Naira being photographed in a bathroom by a roommate, followed by threats and forced apologies.
