Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Result in Significant Casualties on Eid al-Fitr

At least 51 Palestinians killed as Israeli military operations intensify amidst ongoing conflict.
On March 30, 2025, Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip led to the deaths of at least 51 Palestinians, coinciding with the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

Medical sources indicated that multiple locations, including Jabalia in the north and Khan Younis in the south, were targeted during the military operation.

The strikes resulted in numerous civilian casualties, with reports confirming the deaths of six individuals, including women and children, in Al-Mawasi.

Additionally, a drone strike in the Khan Younis refugee camp left two deceased and ten others injured.

Further artillery fire in Jabalia claimed the lives of two children, and an additional four deaths were reported from the Al-Tuffah district of Gaza City.

The Israeli Defense Forces stated they executed dozens of airstrikes and advanced into the Al-Janina area of Rafah as part of an ongoing ground operation aimed at dismantling Hamas infrastructure.

These military actions were reportedly coordinated with the Shin Bet security agency.

While Israeli sources reported an explosion near an Israeli tank in Khan Younis, indicating possible clashes on the ground, no casualties from the Israeli side were confirmed.

The situation has escalated significantly, with confirmed reports of the deaths of 43 family members, primarily children, due to airstrikes since the morning of Eid.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was briefed on the plans to intensify military operations in Gaza as international condemnation of Israel’s actions continues to grow.

The conflict has drawn widespread attention and criticism, with allegations of war crimes and ethnic cleansing being levied against Israel.

This recent surge in violence follows the initiation of hostilities between Israel and Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, marking a period of heightened tensions and deadly confrontations in the region.
