The two dignitaries celebrated the strong bilateral relations between their respective countries. They discussed the scope of bilateral cooperation across various energy sectors, as well as future opportunities within the industry, within the framework of a memorandum of understanding on energy cooperation between the Saudi Arabian and British governments.

The meeting also delved into the prospects of cooperation in the field of developing comprehensive clean hydrogen standards based on emissions rather than the sources, along with the development of regulations and policies related to carbon dioxide capture, transport, and storage activities. The parties also discussed issues related to the localization of energy components, exchange of expertise in this field, and the development of related laws and policies.

Furthermore, the talks touched upon Saudi Arabia's efforts to address the challenges of climate change through local and regional initiatives, most notably the Saudi Green Initiative and the Middle East Green Initiative, in addition to the efforts made by the Petroleum Demand Sustainability Program.

The two sides discussed enhancing collaboration in the fields of renewable energy, petrochemicals, power stations, and the localization of energy sector components. They expressed their mutual eagerness for companies from both sides to participate in the implementation of numerous projects within these domains.
