Escalation in the West Bank: Thousands Displaced Amid Ongoing Conflicts

The Israeli military continues operations in multiple West Bank locations, resulting in casualties and significant displacement.
Two Palestinians were reported injured by Israeli military fire on Sunday, alongside the detention of a girl and a child during raids across various locations in the occupied West Bank.

Concurrently, dozens of extremist settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem, with reports indicating that Israeli forces provided protection to these activities.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported incidents in Hebron and Ramallah, stating that emergency crews treated two individuals for gunshot wounds.

In Hebron, a young man from Sa'ir was hospitalized after being shot in the feet during an Israeli military operation in the area.

The Israeli military reportedly fired live ammunition, sound bombs, and tear gas at residents and their homes during the incursion into Sa'ir, which also resulted in several individuals suffering from gas inhalation.

In Ramallah, a 46-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the feet near the Israeli separation wall in the town of Al-Ram, situated north of Jerusalem.

In Nablus, Israeli forces executed additional raids, resulting in the detention of a student from An-Najah National University, identified as Ibaa Ammar Al-Aghbar.

In a related development, the Israeli army has escalated its military operations in the Tulkarem area, forcing many Palestinian families to flee their homes within the camp and its surroundings.

Reports indicate that warnings were issued to residents of the nearby Dhannaba neighborhood to evacuate by Sunday afternoon.

The military offensive in Tulkarem has persisted for 49 days, with ongoing operations in the Nur Shams camp for 35 days.

Describing an unprecedented escalation, reports indicated that military operations in Tulkarem included intensive house raids, forced evacuations, and the burning and destruction of homes.

Over the course of this Israeli operation, 13 Palestinians have been reportedly killed, including a child and two women, one of whom was pregnant.

This situation has led to the forced displacement of over 12,000 residents from both Nur Shams camp and Tulkarem camp, with significant damage to infrastructure and properties.

In Jenin, the Israeli operations have now reached their 55th day, characterized by the destruction and burning of homes, many of which have been repurposed as military outposts.

Smoke was observed rising from various locations within the Jenin camp, with Israeli military vehicles seen patrolling multiple neighborhoods.

Approximately 120 homes have been entirely demolished, leading to the displacement of around 20,000 residents, while more than 200 individuals have been detained, with many subjected to field interrogations.

Since the onset of the broad Israeli offensives in Gaza and the West Bank in October 2023, there have been reports of over 935 Palestinians killed, around 7,000 injured, and the detention of 15,640 individuals.

The Israeli military and settlers have intensified their attacks across the West Bank, causing widespread humanitarian distress.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has led to catastrophic loss of life, with estimates surpassing 160,000 casualties, predominantly among women and children.

Furthermore, more than 14,000 individuals are reported missing.

The Israeli occupation has persisted for decades in Palestinian territories, with ongoing refusal to withdraw and allow for an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
