Increase in Violence in the West Bank Amid Ongoing Israeli Operations

One Palestinian killed and two injured in Hebron; extensive home demolitions in Tulkarm continue.
A Palestinian was killed and two others injured by Israeli forces at a checkpoint near al-Dhahiriya in southern Hebron, located in the occupied West Bank.

Concurrently, Israeli demolition operations targeting residential buildings and infrastructure in the refugee camps of Tulkarm are ongoing.

Sources indicate that settlers attacked Palestinian shepherds in the area of Tel Ma'in, south of Hebron.

Israeli forces imposed a curfew in the neighborhoods of Jabir and Al-Salaymah, as well as in the Wadi al-Husayn area.

Local sources report that Israeli forces prevented residents from leaving their homes last night, and the curfew continued until this morning.

During incursions into the areas of Jabal Juhar and Wadi al-Nasara, Israeli forces arrested two Palestinians and detained several others, reportedly assaulting them.

In a related development, over 25,000 residents of the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps have been forced to leave their homes since Israel began its military operations in the area.

Reports confirm that Israeli bulldozers resumed demolition activities in Tulkarm this morning, having issued demolition orders for 106 structures in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps.

Alongside this, forced displacement has affected more than 5,000 Palestinian families from Tulkarm and Nur Shams, totaling over 25,000 people amidst ongoing military actions marking the 132nd consecutive day of operations, leading to significant destruction and dire humanitarian conditions.

In another incident, an explosive device detonated against an Israeli military vehicle in the center of Jenin, located in northern West Bank.

Additionally, Israeli forces raided the Wadi Burqin area, west of Jenin, conducting searches of several homes.

In Bethlehem, southern West Bank, Israeli forces arrested five young men near a water spring in the village of Nahalin.

Meanwhile, in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, the Israeli army detained brothers Muhammad and Bakr al-Hamamdeh while they were tending to their livestock near their home in the village of Mufqara, along with Rashad Nizar Awaidat, after raiding and searching his house in the town of Shyoukh northeast of Hebron.

In a related series of settler attacks, several individuals cut approximately 100 olive saplings northeast of Ramallah.

Other settlers attacked a Bedouin gathering north of Jericho, eastern West Bank.

In May 2025, the Israeli army and settlers reportedly committed 1,691 assaults against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank, including 415 carried out by settlers.

The majority of these incidents occurred in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorates (283 assaults), Hebron (271), and Nablus (265).

Amidst escalating violence in Gaza, attacks by the Israeli army and settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have surged, resulting in the deaths of at least 973 Palestinians, injuries to around 7,000 others, and the arrest of over 17,000 individuals, according to Palestinian data.
