Israeli Military Operations Intensify in Northern West Bank Amid Calls for Resistance from Hamas

Israeli forces have escalated their military campaign in Northern West Bank, prompting Hamas to urge Palestinian communities to intensify resistance efforts.
Israeli military operations in the Northern West Bank have intensified, with reports emerging of numerous violations in various areas.

In light of these developments, the Islamic Resistance Movement, known as Hamas, has called on Palestinians in the West Bank to escalate their resistance efforts against what they describe as ongoing aggression by Israeli forces.

Local Palestinian sources indicate that the Israeli military has ordered several families to evacuate their homes in the vicinity of the Mukataa neighborhood in the Tulkaram refugee camp, which is located northwest of the West Bank.

This action is perceived as a prelude to demolishing those residences.

The head of the Popular Services Committee in Tulkaram stated that the Israeli military has issued new evacuation orders to residents in several neighborhoods and areas surrounding the camp.

He further noted that the Israeli forces have been misleading regarding the number of homes announced for demolition, as they often destroy entire units and complexes of housing rather than individual dwellings.

Reports suggest that the military is detonating residential buildings daily within the camps, resulting in damage to dozens of homes.

In Nablus, Israeli forces conducted incursions into the town of Beit Furik, located east of the city.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli troops fired live ammunition indiscriminately at residents during the operation.

Witnesses also indicated that soldiers set up military checkpoints within the town, systematically searching pedestrians and scrutinizing their identification, while forcing shopkeepers to close their businesses.

In Jenin, Palestinian media sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the town of Ya'bad, located west of Jenin city, using a number of military vehicles.

In tandem with the increase in Israeli military operations, Hamas has renewed its calls for the Palestinian populace to maintain resilience and solidarity in their response to the occupation.

In a statement, Hamas characterized the ongoing military campaign in Jenin, which has persisted for three months, and the continuous aggression in Tulkaram as clear manifestations of Israel's malicious intentions.

The movement called for the Palestinian people and its factions to unite in opposition to these actions and urged the international community to pressure Israel to cease its aggression and hold it accountable for the alleged violations and war crimes being committed.

Since the onset of the conflict in Gaza, Israeli forces and settlers have reportedly escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

Official Palestinian statistics indicate that over 937 Palestinians have been killed, approximately 7,000 injured, and around 15,700 arrested amid these escalations.

The military campaign in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has led to over 162,000 casualties among Palestinians, with a significant number being children and women, alongside more than 14,000 individuals reported missing and widespread destruction throughout the region.
