Saudi Cabinet Declares Kingdom Will Take All Necessary Measures to Defend National Security

Riyadh signals readiness to protect its territory, citizens and residents as regional conflict linked to Iran intensifies
Saudi Arabia’s cabinet has declared that the kingdom will take all necessary measures to defend its national security and safeguard its territory, citizens and residents as tensions across the Middle East continue to escalate.

The statement followed a cabinet meeting chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, during which ministers reviewed the rapidly evolving regional situation and the security risks posed by the ongoing conflict involving Iran and its allies.

The government emphasized that protecting the kingdom’s stability and sovereignty remains a top national priority.

Officials said Saudi Arabia is closely monitoring developments across the region and maintaining constant communication with international partners and neighboring countries.

The cabinet discussed recent diplomatic consultations and security coordination efforts aimed at addressing the broader consequences of the unfolding crisis.

The government reaffirmed that the kingdom will act decisively to protect its territory and population if necessary.

The statement stressed that Saudi Arabia possesses both the capability and the determination to respond to threats against its security environment.

The declaration comes after a series of missile and drone attacks across the Gulf region attributed to Iran and allied forces.

Saudi authorities confirmed that attempted strikes targeting areas including Riyadh and the kingdom’s eastern regions were intercepted by defense systems.

Officials strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as violations of sovereignty and a serious threat to regional stability.

Saudi Arabia has also expressed solidarity with neighboring Gulf states affected by similar strikes, emphasizing a shared commitment to defending regional security.

Governments across the Gulf Cooperation Council have issued coordinated statements condemning missile and drone attacks across multiple countries and pledging cooperation to protect their territories.

The cabinet’s message underscores Riyadh’s determination to preserve stability at a time when the conflict involving Iran has expanded beyond its original battlefield.

Officials said the kingdom will continue diplomatic engagement while maintaining strong defensive readiness to address any further threats.
